Good Recipe, Vinegar, Beef and Cheese
from the book Living on a Shoestring, by Mike Edelhart, which is appropriate once again.
Vinegar Beef and Cheese
"Everyone has a lifelong favorite recipe and this is mine. It has a distinctive sharp flavor, smooth texture and rich aftertaste. It takes 10 minutes and just one pot to make.
Ingredients:
2 handfuls thin spaghetti (other noodles can be substituted)
1/2 cup cider vinegar (wine vinegar okay, regular vinegar no-no)
1 pound ground beef
2 slices margarine
1 cup grated cheese (Cheddar works best, but use what your have)rn the heat down to medium low. Pour the vinegar over the spaghetti and toss in the ground beef. Heat, stirring, until the ground beef is brown, Add the margarine [I used butter] and cheese. Keep stirring until the cheese is melted and mixed throughout".
